Devon Wooten, 5 year old son of Jason and Sarah Wooten, has been diagnosed with a rare brain and spinal cancer. After going through 6 weeks of radiation, Devon now has two small areas of concern on his lower spine. It appears that his cancer is very rare, and is considered drug and radiation resistant.
Rather than giving up hope, Devon’s family has opted to take him to Houston, TX for an alternative treatment that has shown success in treating children with rare brain cancers. The treatment will cost between $8,000 and $10,000 per month, and if his body reacts well, the treatments could continue for up to three years.
In an effort to not only save Devon’s life, but also give him the best chance at a normal life, we are looking for donors to commit to giving $10 or more each month while Devon is receiving the alternative treatment. Accounts have been set up at Petit Jean State Bank in Morrilton and First Service Bank in Clinton. Once the treatments begin, donors will begin making their contribution and will receive monthly updates on his progress, and if the treatments should cease for any reason, your contribution would cease as well.
